View Full Version : need help.... please
DD chewed one of her bows today (the girl will not keep them in) and the ribbon came off. I used hot glue to put it on. :banghead:
What do you use? How can I keep this from happening? Help please

how did you put it on? Did you put the middle part (knot) around the clip and then glue?
What I do is halfway line the clip from underneath and up on the top, but not in the middle. I add the bow and put the knot around the clip, then I finish lining the clip. That way, it seals the knot part under the lining of the clippie.
Does this make sense? I'm sorry if it doesn't. I'm running on 4 hours sleep.
it was the lining that she took off. I've been partially lining my clips and she just took the ribbon lining the clip off.

Holy crap, she's super baby! Some people use e6000. I use it to add my embellishments and have never had Rae pull one off. I use Terrifically Tacky (double sided sticky tape).

Are you using a high temp or low temp glue gun? Also, what kind of glue sticks are you using?
High temp, as far as glue sticks, I don't know the brand, I got them at Micheals.

Just a quick glue stick tip: if you have a Hobby Lobby by you they sell twice as many glue sticks in a pack at the same price as Michael's. I noticed this recently and thought I'd pass that along.
As far as the initial questions, I am not help! I'd suggest E6000 too, but that stuff sinks and takes forever to dry. But once it's dry it should stick for forever.

Yikes! I would use E6000. I don't have a problem with the scent of fumes. Or maybe I did and didn't notice ;)
