Diaper Wreath and Gift Share

I made these for a baby gift/shower today. FYI, the theme of the shower was earth tones. The mom-to-be likes organic items, and the outdoors. This is her 4th child, a girl, but she is not really into all pink and girl stuff, so this is what I came up with. I felt that the nest portrayed a meaning of life, birth and motherhood. The mom-to-be loved it and it was a hit.

I also made her a diaper pin to wear at the shower with the babys name on it and a pink/brown 2" pinwheel bow to match an outfit I had purchased. I've attached photos.

Thanks, everyone. I got a message from her this morning and she was so thankful and couldn't believe how much I "got" her. She is planning on putting it up when she goes into labor.

I hate to say that I used disposable diapers on this wreath:o. It is a great idea, especially for the natural moms, but I had the disposable ones on hand. I was trying to keep the cost down, and since it is really for decorative purposes, I didn't worry about it. I will try one soon and let you know how it goes.

they are all cute. i really like the wreath. i haven't seen one made with the diapers like that, they are always rolled up. i think this one is actually prettier than the ones rolled.

You can get the foam wreaths at Dollar Tree and you just use rubberbands to secure the diaper on. I weave a ribbon around the wreath to hide the rubberbands. I'll have to search for instructions to be more clear. HTH
