I made this last nite after a stressful birthday party for my son...(*IN which my family all bailed on it at the last minute*) But I sat down and knit this hat with some adorable chunky soft yarn i picked up.
What do you thinK? I wish I had a baby that small to use it on! Its soo cute.

Sometimes stress can create beautiful things!!!! LOVE the hat, wish I had that talent. So sorry about the party, I'd be pretty upset too. Our kids look so forward to birthday's and parties, what a let down for you and your son.

Yeah it was a letdown...I felt bad watching him sit by the door WAITING for people to come...but I made some calls and it was all good he had a good time.
I think I was more upset than anyone...I actually cried about it. Then I felt silly and thought "IF THEY DONT" WANT TO BE THERE THEN THATS THEY"RE LOSS!"
And we ended up having a good time regardless. And he was passed out by 6pm! LOL

In all actuality...I used those round circle knitting looms....they are AWESOME! And super easy to use! I recommend them! :girly:

I have never knitted, I did learn to crochet long long long time ago and have forgotten how. Plus, I was like 8yrs old and all I could do was a very long straight line...lol I would love to know how to make my own hats.

Oh look at your son! He looked like he had a great time! Especially if he was asleep by 6pm! And you are so right, it's your guest's loss. So glad to hear you made the most of it. It's hard, but I'm sure you made some great memories that day.

Its so nice after a stressful day to just lose ourselves in making things. Its definitely a relaxer for me. The hat is beautiful, you did a great job!!

I find that sometimes I am most creative when I am stressed and then I come out all unstressed.
