First I want to say HI! I'm new here cheerl Anyway my bows aren't bad but I can tell that there is something just not right when I stack my bows with spikes....when I gather the spikes in the middle there is just something off about it. Almost like its bunched up too much and then things dont lay flat when I go to stack my bows on top of the spikes. Everything is fine until I attach the bow to a clip and add the center...then my bows kinda ...lean? I've attached a pic to show what I mean...any help would be greatly appreciated!

well... your bow is gonna kinda lean to begin with because of the clip. The clip is not flat, it has an angle to it, so it makes the bow kinda tilt. I think your bow is pretty. I like it, you did just fine.

It doesnt lean to the right or left its on a french clip...it leans like up or down...like the leaning tower of Pisa...it looks like it might fall over. LoL...its hard to tell from the pic...its leaning toward the camera...it isnt stacked straight up its....leaning. I'm also somewhat of a perfectionist so maybe its just me wanting it to be perfect.

Not sure what you mean about it leaning. Maybe if you spread out your spikes more you will like the look.

I think they look great.:girly: The picture shows the spikes little slanting but taking pics of bow cannot be perfect all the time. You did a good job: )

I don't know if this will help you or not...If I am taking a picture of a barrette not on a model...I take the picture before the clip is attached so it sets flat....I just drape or tack the center knot before I attach it to the clip... HTH I like the bow I'm always a sucker for animal prints!!

All of my bows lean towards the camera when I set them up to take a picture. Also on your spikes, how many hills and valleys are you doing? What I mean by that is when you sew through the middle of your thread it looks kinda like "hills" and "valleys" which is where you can and can't see the ribbon. You should have 3 hills and 2 valleys.

I kind of wonder if it's your center ribbon that pulls it all together? Try heat sealing one end of your 3/8" center ribbon, attaching it to the clip with hot glue - add glue to the top center and pull tight there hold till it's set - then wrap it back to the bottom again. It will lean forward or back ward if you are pulling the top or bottom not evenly. Nice bow though!

I think I usually have 3 hills and 2 valleys....but it really depends on the width of the ribbon I am using...If I use 3/8 I cant do that....5/8 I usually do 2 hills...7/8+ is the 3 hills....

After looking at my bows I think your right...I think the center ribbon is the problem....I'm trying to get it nice and tight to hold it together and its causing leaning...Thanks for the advice I'm gonna try it for my next stacked bow!:D
