Thats how I line my french clips, but lately I've been too lazy to line them.

Thank you for showing how to do this. I usually use alligator clips for all of my bows but I just had 2 requests recently to make ribbon sculptures on french clips.

I have a question though. Some of my bows have the clip attached vertically on the back. How would you do this with a french clip? Or should it be attached horizontally?

Thanks!

I attach my french clips the same way I do my alligator clips when lining them up vertically. I just take into account the curve of the french clip when placing it. Just don't use too big of a french clip and once it is lined it should be okay.

Barbara,

Which end goes up? The pinch end or the hinge?

Thanks,
Jessica

That looks very nice. I have only made a few bows on the french clip because I have a hard time cutting the middle ribbon when I am gluing it around the bow. Guess I should measure and cut first, huh? Think I just figured that one out! Duh!

I'm glad that these instructions are on here! I have wondered how to do it, now I'll have to go try it out!
