I am new to bottle cap making and have made some using photo paper but got frustrated when trying to make initial caps with a nice background. I couldn't get things to work out right. I had the idea of using scrapbooking cardstock to print the letters on. I bought the sheets in normal printer paper size then in a word document designed the letters how I wanted them. Since I was experimenting with how it would work, I didn't seal the paper. This was also my first time using resin so please excuse the imperfections.
Has anyone used this technique? So far the caps look great but not sure how they will be in the long run.

Yours look nice. I prefer to have them printed out on the photo paper. I think it makes the images crisper. I don't make my own images. I just buy the file from someone usually on Etsy or Ebay. I also prefer the epoxy stickers that I also buy on Ebay.

I like the stickers too. Has made my life so much easier. I do make my own images some times.
I'd really upgrade and use photo paper for your images too. Makes them look much more shiny

I've been thinking about trying this...my problem is the paper edges get like frayed when i use my punch to cut them out...do you know how to prevent it?

You either need to sharpen your punch by punching out a few circles with tin foil. Or buy a new punch.

I understand that photo paper may make them look shinier but I have to say I just did a set of bottle caps with some on the cardstock and some on photo paper and the cardstock ones came out looking so much better. I don't know why but the photo paper ones got a ring around the edge of the image like the resin soaked into the paper. I realize that wouldn't have happened with the epoxy stickers but I am trying to use the supplies I have on hand right now. I will post pictures later to show what I am talking about.

I think they are very cute! I would maybe make them glossier though.

I have only used photo paper and the epoxy domes for my bottle caps. But I have heard of other using cardstock and stickers. I think they were videos I saw on youtube. Just do a search for "bottle caps".
BTW they look good. Thanks for sharing.
