does anyone make footless socks...aka babylegs for their little ones?

I love them but refuse to pay $15 for them. I have been buying ladies knee highs and I cut the foot off and they work great but the bottom edge is unfinished. So I'm curious what, if anyone, you do to finish the cut edge?

I've seen them at craft fairs and they have cuffs so where do these come from. and such cute patterns and designs that I can't find.

I was thinking of using elastic thread and just turning down the edge and sewing it. Or do people maybe use the cuffs off mittens?

I'm really hoping someones makes these and is willing to share their "trade" secrets....Thanks

I'd finish the edges. I've seen tutorials online for these. Try a google search, I'm sure something will pop up. I have made these before, but started buying them wholesale to sell. Anything to save me time.

Thanks! and I will google it for sure. Just curious how you buy things wholesale. I assume you have to have a business liscense? I'm no where near that point yet lol.

HA - here I go telling you to google again. Polka Dot Wholesale, Kate's Craft Room, Hot Pink Wholesale. You don't need a business license to order from these sites and there is no min.

cool thank you so much!!! I'm in love with this site. Everyone's so friendly and willing to share. I know one other lady in my MOPS group who makes hair bows and she's won't share any tips or ideas.

and I did find some tutorials on youtube and duh I can't believe how simple it is!! and darn all the foot parts I've thrown away, lol. I know better from now on.
