I am having a frustration. Whenever I cut a shape out of ribbon and then try to heat seal it with a lighter it warps terribly. How do you heat seal and keep your shapes nice? The craft show I'm going to do is turkey themed so I wanted to make some turkey clippies but I'm just ruining ribbon! Should I use my wood burning tool? I've never even got it out of it's packaging.

Your wood burner should fix the problem :) It will cut and seal at the same time.

I will admit I had one burn hole in my old office carpet!!...now I have a matt down under my table so it will burn that first if it takes a tumble...I;ve heard you can keep a glass mug to set it in and that's better than the stand they come with. Oh and sometimes the fumes are REALLY bad..a ventilated area is best!!

Oh gosh my husband will love this! When I told him he needed to get me something to go on the table he said Yah you can do that on the back porch! He gets one whiff of the fumes I know he'll be all over it lol!!!

I put mine in a coffee mug, works wonders. I have dropped mine a couple times on the carpet, luckily its in a corner where hubby doesnt know till we either move or move the furniture...lol I also use a 5x7 picture frame glass that has a beveled edge to not cut myself and place it ontop of my cutting mat with the measurements. I have touched my fingers with the tip of it a couple times, OUCH!!

Someone had suggested before also to maybe tape the wire to your table so if it does fall off it doesnt hit the floor.
