I put the majority of my ribbon in a kids storage bin I got from target when they were on sale. I bought 2 for dd and one for me. The rest is in rubbermaid storage drawers.

I love that storage rack Barbara! I have all mine in the plastic storage bins... shoebox size and the next size up, arranged by size and color. But it gets messy easily.

I just bought some of these to store my rolls on. I only make bows for my daughter so I don't need big storage.

I use a plastic double sided match box car box. I've only been buying ribbon 5 yds. at a time and this seems to be the perfect size. I'll post pics some time.

I use the large flat tackle boxes for the smaller rolls or hand rolled ribbon. It takes from 5 - 10 yards. Larger rolls and hardware are stored in plastic see through storage boxes that stack on top of each other.
I do like the idea of a chest of draws. I have one that is barely used in the spare room. I may just find a new use for it.

Here is one of the things I use to store my ribbon in. It's about at it's limit though, need to get another one. It's really made to hold hot wheels and toy cars, but it holds 5 yd. rolls of ribbon perfectly. It's double sided with a handle on top. Super easy to just pull out and put away.

WOW! You've got to have just loads of ribbon to need that much storage! I hope one day I'll need chests to hold my supplies!

Look at the organization of your colors! Mine are organized by the "get in where you fit in" rule of thumb.

I store my ribbons in a rubber maid storage drawer cart, one of those things that has 3 big drawers and it is on wheels. And I have some in a box.

I store mine in this, each color has it's own drawer. I buy the 5 yd rolls for the time being but soon will have to expand to the 100 yd rolls pretty soon.

I have mine in the large plastic storage boxes, tilted on their sides and placed on plastic shelving units against the wall. They are four shelves high, one for 3/8" - 5/8", 7/8" - 1 1/2" grosgrains, one for polka dots, stripes, prints, etc. On the top I have my bows already made in case someone stops by for a quick purchase.

I have a chest similar to V's, but just one LOL! And only two drawers are the 50yd spools of ribbon LOL! They really fit perfectly and snug to where I have easy access and can pull them out if I need to :)

I love this idea - and it's portable for those of us that don't have a dedicated space to work in.
