I was referred by another vendor for this event and thought WHY NOT. It was this organization's 1st year trying this out so turn out was small.
On the plus side - there was no cost - just a door prize donation. The food was AMAZING (and free). It was at a nice upscale hotel. Most of the vendors were really nice, not junky looking.
I made a couple hundred dollars, so that made it worth my time. It was only a 3 hour event.
I gave EVERY person that walked my way a card. So you never know what may come back my way later on.
I requested to bring my own set up, they offered tables with skirting, but you know me - can't take the easy route. I did two square grid panels and a 4' table. Plus my cash register table. Set up took not quite an hour and a half with unloading, finding our location, getting product out, things plugged in, and the price signs up. Probably a record for me, although this is 1/4 of my regular set up.
Big set up again this coming weekend with another 3 day mall event on the calendar.
