Flower and Ribbon tied kufi

Keep the kufi, flower and the ribbon ready. You dont have to precut the ribbon.

As u see, there are 4 wide holes on the beanie. Use the second hole for weaving the ribbon. Also i am starting from the front side of the beanie focusing on the middle.

Ribbon goes in and out thru the holes.

Use an alligator clip, to mark the back end of the holes.

There are two ways to attach a flower.

1. Flower on a clip..So it can removed any time.

2. Flower on the ribbon. It is also easy to remove and interchangeable on another beanie. And if the flower is heavy, it will not sag from the ribbon.

i am using the second option here.

How do you attach a flower to a clip? Do you completely disassemble it and glue each layer on with the first layer glued directly to the clip or ribbon if the clip is ribbon lined?

I disassemble it, remove the stem and such and glue the layers back together. Then I glue the whole thing to a clip.

i use 29 inches ribbon for each kufi. And i tie the back of the ribbon as i tie my shoe lace(the first picture doesnt show the bow tie, just an idea how they are done). hope this makes sense:o

So when the hat is put on do you just leave the tied ribbon in the back to show up? Does that make sense?

So far I like most of their stuff. I did get some bright pink flowers that I am not too thrilled with, but I am going to try pairing them up w/ some other colored flowers to see if I can improve on them :)
