Attaching sequin bow applique to skinny elastic??

I have a heap of these and only use them at the moment on clips in pairs.

To attach them to skinny elastic would you use a felt backing or a strip of 3/8 ribbon??

I actually took mine apart and wrapped the middle loop around my headband. I would probably recommend a small felt circle too more for comfort of the baby.

I'll give the felt ago. I think they can be a little bit scratchy on the back.
