I want to do bow holders. I have a few that are pretty simple that I fixed up, but the ones I want would require someone else painting them. I would provide all of the materials, so all I'm paying for would be their time and work. Here's my question:
How much would I pay them for their work? I could pay per hour, but I'd rather pay per painted piece. So what's the going rate?

Also, I will probably have to employ some bow makers and, again, I will be providing the materials. I am teaching a couple of people to make them to my specifications. How much should I pay them for their labor?

I'd appreciate any help!!

I'm no expert, but I think a lot would depend on how particular you are and how old the hired help is. I remember helping my mom with her craft things when I was younger (12 or 13 or so) and I was paid like 4 or 5 bucks an hour and was happy with it. But if you're looking for someone older and more qualified to do it your way, you'll probably be expected to pay more. I don't know if that helps you at all, but I just thought I'd throw in a couple cents:)

Thanks, Sunny! I was also kind of thinking paying her per plaque... maybe $3 each plaque? She could probably do 4 an hour... maybe more and that would be like $12/hour which is great pay. The ladies that are helping would actually do if for free, but I'm really wanting to keep this as professional as possible.
What do ya'll think about $3 each? Should I pay more? Again, I'm providing the materials AND compiling the bow holder... all she's doing is painting.

I think that sounds reasonable but I have no clue about paying hired help.

I normally wouldn't pay for help, BUT I am not good at painting. EVIE+PAINT=DANGER LOL!
My mom, however, is a beautiful artist, but she lives 18 hours from us :(
