I made this one smaller loops and more loops than before and on a 3" barrett. last one was on a 60mm, I thought it was ok for a first time.

Those are great! About how much ribbon do you use for each one? In my experience those loopy bows suck up the ribbon really quick!! Yours are gorgeous :)

It looks good. This one is definitely not round, lol. But now you have two options for your loopy bow. I think some may like the round one.

I proably did use a little ribbon for it. I just left it on the rolls and make my loops then wired them around and keep doing that until I got to the end, then cut.
I think the size of loops make a big difference too.

another thing I think that I will do if these sell or I try to do a craft show, would be to use a small pc of ribbon and hot glue it over the wire. The more I see that wire the more I don't like it showing even if it is on the back side.
and also maybe someone's hair would not get caught up in it( like a saftey thing) I guess.

That sounds like a very good idea, thats what I would do.

I make these, I use about 20" of ribbon, 5-6 colors and put them on the 40mm french barrett. I'ts a little hard sometimes, but when you push them towards the middle more, they will look more round.

I use thread to wrap my loops when I make these. No worries about wire snagging hair.

I like them both but the first one stands out more for some reason, maybe the round and the colors.

i made on of these a few months back and what i did was use one of the colors. i used 3/8 and wrapped it around going between the loops. its looks good and u cant see ANY wire at all!!

I think it's adorable! I have such a hard time making them that I've given up.

Ive only made 2 of these but also used thread for them, much easier to manipulate than wire i would think ( more pliable) ( i only used thread cause i didn't have any wire) it seemed to work well. Loris

I have made a few of these myself. I used good wire(Beadalon) for the first one and the second I used dental floss. The wire scared me thinking of a poor child getting poked.

Looks great! I've tried loopy bows and I didn't like the way they looked. I agree, they did take up a lot of ribbon.
